Who it's for
- Anyone who wants a weekly reset: employees, freelancers, students, people running a side project.
Instructions
- Connect the apps this routine reads (see the setup note for your assistant below).
- Paste the copy-ready prompt into your assistant and ask it to make it a recurring routine on the schedule above.
- Run it once by hand, check the result, and tweak the prompt if you like.
Every Friday at 3:00 PM, put together my weekly review for Monday-Friday of this week.
Look at:
- My calendar for this week (meetings held) and next week (what's coming).
- Emails I sent this week, and emails I received that still look like they need a reply from me.
Give me:
1. DONE: 3-7 bullets on what I worked on or finished, based on meetings held and emails sent.
2. SLIPPED: things that look unfinished: unanswered emails older than 3 days, promises I made ("I'll send...", "will get back to you") without a follow-up.
3. NEXT WEEK: the busiest days and any big meetings or deadlines.
4. TOP 3: suggest three priorities for next week, with one line on why each.
End with one question for me to reflect on. Don't send, schedule or change anything.
Ground rules (follow every run):
- Read-only by default. Never send, reply, forward, delete, archive, unsubscribe, accept/decline invites, buy, or change anything without asking me first and getting a clear "yes".
- You may prepare drafts for me to review, but do not send them.
- If a source (email, calendar, website) isn't available, say so plainly. Don't guess and don't reuse old data as if it were new.
- Don't give financial, medical, legal or tax advice. If something looks like it needs that, just flag it and tell me to check with the right person.
- Keep the result short and scannable.Setup by assistant
Grok Bot: Connect Gmail and Google Calendar under Connect apps, paste the routine into a Bot chat and say "make this a routine: every Friday at 3:00 PM". Open the routine → When to run to confirm the schedule, then press Test (a new routine doesn't run until its next scheduled time).
ChatGPT: Connect Gmail and Google Calendar in Settings → Apps, paste the routine and say "schedule this every Friday at 3:00 PM." Check it on the Scheduled page.
Claude: Connect Gmail and Google Calendar, paste the routine, run it once, check the output, then type `/schedule` and pick the cadence.
Gemini: Connect Google Workspace, paste the routine with the schedule in the first line, then check it under Scheduled actions.
Limitations
- It can only see email and calendar, not work done in other tools (docs, chat apps, task apps) unless you connect them.
- "Done" is inferred, not known. Edit it before sharing with anyone.
